If you have been scammed and are looking for assistance from Cybertrace, the first step in the investigation process is assessing the transactions that were sent to any offenders. Cybertrace investigators will request you provide records to show cryptocurrency being sent and this can include a full withdrawal export from the exchange that was used to send funds.
If you were using CoinSpot to send cryptocurrency to a scam and are unsure of how to export the required information, Cybertrace provides you with a simple guide to download a CSV file with all the relevant information:
CoinSpot CSV transaction export guide:
- The first step in the process is to log into your CoinSpot exchange account.
- Once logged in to your CoinSpot account, click on your profile picture in the top right corner to open a drop-down menu
- In the drop-down menu, you will need to select ‘order history’ to navigate to the relevant page.
- Once you have navigated to the order history page, the following data filters and options to export various CSV files will appear. As the blue arrows suggest, you will need to download the Send/Receives CSV file. This CSV file will include any records of cryptocurrency being sent and received into your CoinSpot account and will provide Cybertrace investigators with the necessary information to assess your case.
While these instructions will be almost the same for every user, there may be additional information Cybertrace requires to further assess your case, however, this is the first and most crucial piece of information required to begin case assessment.
